1. You will need to
provide the following tools and protection equipment: garden hose,
garden type pump sprayer bottle, paint application tools like rollers
and/or brushes, drop cloths and/or plastic coverings, safety
goggles/face shield, chemical resistant gloves/foot wear, protective
clothing (long sleeves and pants), respirator with organic/mist filter
and a cold beverage!
NOTE: If you are removing paint and/or stained coatings from the wood
surface, we recommend the usage of a 2000 to 2500 psi power washer, which can be rented at your local
equipment rental store.
NOTE: We recommend that you allow all newly purchased/installed pressure-treated wood to dry for approximately 30 days before applying our exterior wood care system.2.
Protect any areas adjacent to the wood surface areas (i.e plant life,
fixtures, concrete/masonry surfaces, painted surfaces, etc.) with drop
cloths and/or plastic coverings. Make sure to water down any plant
life before covering and after covering is removed. Thoroughly
shake/mix products before application.
3. Pour contents of the Step 1:
All-Purpose Wood Cleaner and Coating Remover into the garden type pump
sprayer and spray the product on all the wood surfaces. Allow the
product to sit on the surface for about 45-60 minutes, do not allow
the product to dry, so continue to mist with water. Lightly scrub any
stubborn stained and/or build-up painted areas with a stiff bristle
brush. Thoroughly rinse the wood surface area with fresh water until
the soapy type bubbles disappear. If you are using power washing
equipment, make sure to power wash with the grain of the wood,
otherwise you will cause damage to the wood, like
splintering/feathering. If you rented the power washer equipment, you
can now return it to the rental store. Wash out the pump sprayer with
fresh water and allow the wood to dry. Repeat this first step as
necessary.
4. Pour contents of the Step 2:Natural
Wood Color Rejuvenator into the pump sprayer and spray the product on
all the wood surfaces. Allow the product to sit on the surface for
about 20 minutes. Thoroughly rinse with fresh water (no pressure
washing or scrubbing required), again following the grain of the wood.
Wash out the pump sprayer with fresh water.
5. Pour contents of the Step 3:Wood
Conditioner into the pump sprayer and spray the product on all the
wood surfaces. Allow the product to sit on the surface for about 20
minutes. Thoroughly rinse with fresh water (no pressure washing or
scrubbing required), again following the grain of the wood. Wash out
the pump sprayer with fresh water. Allow the wood
to dry for a day or so, before applying the Step 4:Wood Protector.
6. Pour contents of the Step 4:Wood
Protector into a painter ’s pail, or roller pan or sprayer bottle
(depending on the method of application that you desire) and apply the
product on all the wood surface areas. While it is possible to
coat/stain the wood surface with a one application, to achieve maximum
Wood Protector penetration/protection and a more intense color, a
“wet-on-wet ” application is recommended.. The cure rate for the Wood
Protector is approximately 24 hours depending on temperature and
humidity.
CLEAN-UP: Soap and water clean-up.
APPLICATION TEMPERATURE: Apply product above 60 °F and
below 90 °F.
COVERAGE RATE: Is approximately 200 SF per gallon.
